EXPERIENCE OVERVIEW

 

I am an experienced Project Manager/Engineer in the Telecommunications Industry.  My experience is in Outside & Inside Plant, copper paired, fiber-optic,

as well as UTP-Cat5e &Cat6e.  I have worked for major telephone companies

i.e. AT&T, Verizon and various R.U.S. funded independent phone companies.

My experience  includes several overseas projects in the Middle East & Central & S.W. Asia.  Many of these were D.O.D. Contracts working for the U.S.Military in active war zones.  I hold an active D.O.D. SECRET Clearance.  I have worked for

Saudi-Aramco in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia overseeing the data cabling for a 10-story

office building in Dammam as well as a fiber-optic disaster recovery system for Aramco’s massive oil complex throughout the country.  I have also managed a

multi-million dollar submarine cable landing project and cable head construction project in the central coast of California. I am proficient in the use of various cad

drafting programs-i.e.-BST Cad,  Opti-Lite, ICGS and Visio.  I have used MSProject regulary as well as the MS Office Suite.  I have designed numerous

Fiber to the Home, Fiber to the Node, Fiber to the Tower and Metro Fiber Ring

Projects.  Also have extensive Project Manager/ Construction Manager experience with Nortel/ CDMA Projects in The S.E. United States. Also have extensive experience with SCADA Systems in the oilfield.

at Manas AFB in Bishkek, Kyrgystan.  This was an E&I and O&M

contract providing telephone & data circuits (NIPR & SIPR) throughout

this base. This was outside Plant & Inside Plant.

·         Lead Network Engineer for U.S. Army- 11^th Signal Brigade at Camp

Victory, Baghdad, Iraq.  This was an E & I Contract for Camp Victory

and outlying F.O.B.s.   Also, I was an Instructor at Baghdad Signal University for a fiber networking class to the ARMY.

·         Project Manager/ Engineer  on several Metro Fiber Rings in the

L.A. area, Bay area and central sections of California.  During

this time managed a multi-million dollar submarine fiber-optic cable

landing project in Morro Bay, CA.  This was for the International Consortium called “Southern Cross”. I handled encroachment permits,

private r.o.w., and environmental permits on this project.

 

 

 

9-1994 to 5-1995—Benthiemer Engineering—Anchorage,AK.

·         Senior Engineer for Copper Valley Telephone Company—Valdez,AK.

designed fiber links to various cell sites and microwave sites in

the Glennallen, to Valdez area.  Also designed carrier systems for

pair relief in several areas.

 

10-1992 to 9- 1994—Al Mutawan Samyong Co.—Dhahran, Saudi Arabia

·         Senior Communications Engineer for Saudi-Aramco based in their

Main camp in Dhahran. Oversaw design and installation of Data

networks in a 10-story office building in Dammam and  a system wide

disaster recovery system throughout their massive oil complex.
